Jack Rodgers is a Creative Producer, Visual Journalist and United States Air Force Combat Cameraman based in Salt Lake City, Utah. His work is defined by a sense of adventure, a commitment to service and passionate storytelling.
Shaped by the mountains of New Mexico, he specializes in stories of outdoor adventure, natural history, and service members. In 2022, he completed a tenure as the Marketing Manager at Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America's premiere high adventure base. In this role he developed a vision and marketing plan for promoting Philmont's world-class youth development and outdoor leadership programs. Managing an exceptional seasonal staff, he additionally served as the lead photographer, video producer and social media coordinator while contributing to Philmont's all-volunteer fire department.
As a student he was published in major outlets such as the New York Times and BBC covering national and international news. As a student intern he contributed to coverage by the Twin Cities Pioneer Press and Star Tribune. In both 2018 and 2019 he was named as Visual MN's College Photographer of the Year and was accepted into the 33rd Annual Eddie Adams Workshop. Previously, Jack was a Staff Photographer and the Multimedia Editor for the University of Minnesota's Minnesota Daily.
With robust creative skills and an authentic leadership approach, Jack works with the highest amounts of intention and resolve. He currently works full-time for the Natural History Museum of Utah producing creative content and serves with the 4th Combat Camera Squadron in the Air Force Reserve.
SERVANT LEADERSHIP - HUMBLE PRIDE - CHANGE LIVES
Jack's work has largely been influenced by his time at Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America's premiere High Adventure Base in rural, northern New Mexico. Instilled here were the values of servant leadership, humble pride and changing lives for the better. After working as a Ranger (backpacking guide) for three years he was promoted to Marketing Manager where he had the opportunity to develop a vision and marketing plan for promoting Philmont's world-class youth development and outdoor leadership programs. This role supported operations for over 20,000 participants annually and reached millions more online. Jack additionally served as the lead photographer, video producer and social media coordinator.
